    This is the drain that leads out of Lake Richmond towards Point Peron, on the west side of Safety Bay Road. This the other end of the drain that was initially shown 14Jan26 (below looking west) that leads to the photograph on 05May26.

Bugs is planning to post a daily photograph during 2026.

The posts will be delayed 3 weeks to ensure the privacy and security of the Photographer who will be running the website for Bugs. They will be released at around midnight AWST.

Bugs is sponging off the Photographer residing in Rockingham, Western Australia so most days the photograph will be in the general area, apart from when the Photographer is traveling [there may be more than one photograph those days].

Camera

  • An older Kodak Z915 digital camera. An advantage of this old tehnology is that it takes old school AA batteries so will be able to travel in ‘checked in’ luggage without upsetting airlines or setting the plane alight.
  • I’ll add further specs later. It is a 2010 camera so they are lower specs than your current phone.

  • Built with WordPress, hosted at WebCentral.

Bugs’ Platform

  • A work in progress, currently a flash arm with Lego for Bugs to stand on. A definate ‘can do better’ over time.

AI

  • None used! All old school, apart from WordPress not direct HTML coding.

What was changed, when

  • 30 December 2025 – go live date
  • The various pages will display their last updated date.

Future enhancements planned / considered

  • User accounts
    • But then we’re saving your personal information
    • Could be required when posting feedback if that gets spammed
  • Ability to email users the posts daily / weekly / monthly
    • Requires investigating the cPanel / WordPress tools that would allow that integration
