The new hydroponic plant containers have arrived – 1L conical flasks! They have a low centre of gravity allowing lots of plant growth before they could become unstable. A new plant stem support has also been devised, replacing solid foam with splits or holes is 30mm strips of 10mm soft foam wound around the stems.

You can see that the Syngonium has done well the last 2 months – the leaf that was developing opened and another came through.

This Curly Spider Plant was purchased on the 24Feb26 at the same time as the Peace Lily, the roots were soaked a few days to remove the soil, then it was tried in another container but didn’t really suit that, so now moved to this jar temporarily.

Despite the donut vases being a good solution for the hydroponic plants, 3 new containers with a low centre of gravity have been purchased and the Peace Lily, Syngonium and this Curly Spider Plant will be transferred – keep a look out for about a week’s time!
