We’ve made it through to the end of the first month!
Here are some mint seedlings that will be planted out into garden beds when the weather cools, probably around Easter or ANZAC Day. All are cuttings from a single plant purchased 17Dec25.

Another view of Lake Richmond looking across to Richmond Avenue from the northern side, on a still morning with nice reflections.

When the Australian flag isn’t being flown due to strong winds etc, a windsock will be flown.
It is slightly down from the top as it managed to annoyingly find it’s way over the flag pole at one point!

Lake Richmond, from the boardwalk looking across south to the Richmond Avenue side.

It rain (slightly) the last 2 days! Across January 25 & 26 there was 1.5mm recorded in the rain gauge.
We’ll track the year’s rainfall in the table below, with also the rainfall from the digital rain gauge for comparision.

This is from along the Shoalwater foreshore, by the Lions Park carpark looking across to Penguin Island.

More Lake Richmond. This is from the south eastern area looking north west.

Below are a pair of swans and four mature cygnets, in the southern drain.

Lake Richmond, looking south east from the park off Lake street. Hopeful looking clouds that didn’t bring any more than a few small drops.

More depth of field issues 🙄

A cumquat [kumquat] that was planted 08Dec25. It has flowered already and looks like it could set fruit, so appears to have settled in well even though it was planted early summer (it has had some extra hand watering).
